Postmaster Finder
Postmasters and Where They Served

Remember! Many postmasters who served before 1986 are not listed. We cannot respond to requests. See Publication 119, Sources of Historical Information on Post Offices, Postal Employees, Mail Routes, and Mail Contractors, for information on how you can research postmasters.

Note: Some OIC assignments are not listed. See FAQs about Postmaster Finder. If your search results in "NO POSTMASTERS MATCHED YOUR SEARCH CRITERIA," try adding "Miss," Mrs.," "Ms.," or "Mr.," and then a space, in front of the first name.  You can also search by surname only, if there are fewer than 500 entries for that surname.

Action: Enter first and last name in the boxes below. Click Search to process. Click Clear to reset.

Result: All information entered for that individual.
