Remember! Many discontinued Post Offices are not listed. We cannot respond to requests. See Publication 119, Sources of Historical Information on Post Offices, Postal Employees, Mail Routes, and Mail Contractors, for information on how you can research Post Offices.

Action: Enter dates in the form of mm/dd/yyyy in both the "From Date" and "To Date" boxes. "mm" is a month ranging from 01 for January to 12 for December. "dd" is a day ranging from 01 to 31. "yyyy" is a year from 1639 through the present. Click Search to process. Click Clear to reset.

Result: A chronological list of Post Offices entered for the range of establishment dates you specified. The list will include the county, ZIP Code for offices in existence after 1963, and discontinuance date, where applicable, for each office.
