not been reported to our office. We encourage you to send us corrections and additions to the
database, with supporting documentation, to help ensure the accuracy of this historic record
for future generations.
For POSTMASTERS, we use the FULL NAME of the employee and the EFFECTIVE DATE OF THEIR APPOINTMENT.
Appointment dates generally fall on the first Saturday of each pay period.
While Postmaster Finder primarily serves as a record of postmasters, names of officers-in-charge are included
when they serve in between postmasters. For OFFICERS-IN-CHARGE who serve between postmasters,
we use the FULL NAME of the employee and THEIR DATE OF INSTALLATION. (month,date,year)
